Last week was a CRAZY week for the third and fourth graders - between preparing for mass, having guest speakers, Mystery Skyping, and Halloween, it is hard to believe anything actually got accomplished!
ReligionFor religion this week, all of our energy was spent preparing for mass! We ended up having 16 saints at mass, all of whom did a fabulous job! Thank you, parents, for sending in props and coming to mass to support our class! | ScienceWith all of the craziness this week, we did not have a ton of time for science. We did have a special visitor this week though, Mrs. Way! She brought in all kinds of animal parts and reviewed animal adaptations with us! | WritingA few weeks ago, the students created some postcards for the Redditgifts.com postcard exchange, so they were excited to receive their postcards in the mail! We also received some yummy Halloween candy too! |
ReadingIn reading class, we are continuing to works on skills used by good readers. We also shared the book reports for October! They turned out so great! | MathIn the spirit of Halloween, we spent one of our math classes carving a pumpkin. Before we carved it, we weighed it, measured the height, circumference, diameter, and radius. We then counted ALL of the seeds! | Social St.We had a busy week in social studies. The third graders reviewed their Michigan geography in preparation for tomorrow's test while the 4th graders focused on mastering the states and capitals of the Midwest states. We also took part in FIVE Mystery Skypes! |
