We're continuing our work with coding today! I tested out today's activity and my light show will go LIVE on the Michigan Christmas tree outside the White at 4:03 pm TODAY! Check out what my tree will look like:
Christmas is quickly approaching and the plans have been made for our class Christmas party! The party will be held on December 19th in our classroom. The party will be from 1:00-2:00 (tentatively) and parents are welcome to attend! The students have signed up to bring the party supplies, but if you cannot bring what your child signed up for, please let me know. The students will also be taking part in a gift exchange. Rather than buying gifts, your child will need to MAKE a gift for a child of the same gender, so girls will make a gift for a girl and boys will make a gift for a boy. The students will not know who will get the gift, so please remind them not to personalize the gifts with another student’s name. The students can wrap their gifts and bring them in any time before the 19th.
Book orders are going home today!! Below is a copy of the note that was sent home with your student today. Books make GREAT Christmas gifts! By ordering from the book order, you are not only doing some easy shopping, but you are also helping our class! I have attached a free book coupon to use with your order, meaning you can order even more books! The coupon can be turned into me with your order, or can be used online with the code printed on the coupon. This month’s book order is due on Wednesday, December 10. It is a little sooner than usual, but I wanted to make sure that the books arrive before Christmas break. If you would like for the books to be gifts, please let me know and I will set them aside until you can pick them up. You can order online at scholastic.com with the classroom code L49RZ.
